What I came to comment on was that this is an excellent version, and quite a skilled conductor, at that. Then, I begin to read the comments, and even the 'educated' people I find voicing their opinions are making comments- are STILL arguing and STILL insulting one another. Can't we just sit here and watch the video, enjoy the beautiful music, and leave our snarky comments to ourselves? Thanks, kindly. sigh.
Conductors to a movement of music are the same thing as a Director in the creation of a movie. They both are absolutely vital in the vision of said composition and story. If you do not know this then you are absolutely delusional.
Outstanding music!!! Did anyone else notice that the orchestra was all white and all male? Was it the Sweedish National Orchestra or something? Obviously great musicians, but not much diversity it that group.
Dude, don't take my comment with any seriousness. I stated myself that I didn't have a clue what I was talking about, I was speaking exclusively from a visual standpoint. Explaining how odd the concept is to me. Basically, without knowing their purpose, they look like a guy holding a stick having multiple spasms. It was an uneducated observation, as I stated.
All that suggesting that I actually didn't care how I come across, as long as it didn't look like I was knocking this nice piece.

Without a conductor there to guide us it feels extremely odd. There is disorganization and is not a comfortable feeling.
I for one love conductors as they are an asset to every ensemble.
Makes you feel special picking out miss-typed words don't it?
