Shaddup madcow, go back to rug - munching.

@scottson2 Don't forget. It's practices that companies have done that help create the Unions. Such as the Triangle fire of 1911. Over 100 women died. Because their boss locked the doors. And, I'm not a Union member.

@rrhynes I don't shop at any of them....what's your point?
-
@unfortunatebeam Do you shop at Walmart, Target or Home Depot?

In the Past, Unions have done good things, BUT they are now obselte. We no longer have the factories in this country because Unions demanding ridiculous wages and benifets have drove them overseas ! Public worker Unions have helped to break the States.
Since only 12% of the Middle Class workers belong to Unions, to even suggest that breaking the unions is an attack on middle class workers or will get rid of the middle class is all bullshit, lies !
-
@53dumey the workers rights that states have now were fought for and won by unions a long time ago. if you want to see what our factories would be like without these rights go to any American onwed factory in a 3rd world country and ask yourself if that is the way to treat human beings..but maybe you dont think that people in 3rd world countries are human beings

@biggerturtle oh, I see. I guess I'll just leave you alone then and hope the best for ya. good luck.

@scottson2 collective bargaining means simply that you as worker have your concerns represented by your union at the table so that there ISN'T ONLY ONE SIDE CALLING ALL THE SHOTS! Which I think is called something like tyranny or autocracy. Are you so blindsighted that you dont see that? Worker's rights movements like IWW throughout the early 20th century had protested long and hard, and many died, to get these rights for working people. They won't just be taken away without a fight
Boy, I'd love to have a team of thugs come into my job interview and strong-arm the employer (ie force them) into giving me a decent salary, free benefits, days off, buy up options so that I can retire and claim i worked 5 additional years when i didn't.. if you came into my office asking for this, i'd seriously have to ask you if you were making a joke.. collective bargaining = ??? answer: shoving a contract down the governments throat... the term bargaining shouldn't even be used here..

@scottson2 Yep those damn union thugs .. they forced a 40 hour work week, safety and health protections, overtime, vacation and family/medical leave and enforced those rights on the job. They gave workers the right to work and not be fired on a whim and ended child labor. Who did they think they were anyway? We sure didn't need a middle class destroying America! Great to see so many want to return to the late 1800's and early 1900's. At least we're heading in the right direction.

States already have workers rights and Protection in place, the Union led protests are just to keep voting power in for the Unions. And all the while they pick the pockets of workers in the form of Dues.
Of Course this 19 yr old boy in baggy jeans won't tell you this. He/She is too far in Soros's pocket.

@53dumey Nothing like seeing ignorance rearing its head once again! Even in Right to Work states where unions have been minimalized, the workers have collective bargaining rights. The R's in those states are removing these rights now. Union dues have saved millions of jobs when management has sought to fire workers for ridiculous reasons. These dues were responsible for a living middle class wage that helped to educate generations of kids. Thank the unions for all you have now.
