In this video I demonstrate Kurt Rosenwinkel's method for getting fluid with your Pentatonic playing and then show you how to play it over Coltrane's "Giant Steps." The backing track is available on my site: http://somuchsound.blogspot.com/

  • Hi Love the video..Where can I get the copy of the score you have which breaks it down into the scales used ? Can you also do a lesson on alternative scales for the chords you played over. Thanks man..Where do I get the backtrack

  • @69sleezy1 Hey there-- Glad you enjoyed it. All the information, the score I use in the video and a link to the backing track are available on my site: somuchsound dot blogspot dot com.

I'll do a follow up video with alternate uses of Pentatonics over Giant Steps, that's a great idea.

  • What is your backing track machine? Are you using BiAB?

  • @jwright123456789 It's GarageBand

  • Dude, very cool!!! Do you have a download link for that first backing track?

  • @camilovelandiamusic It's available on my site, somuchsound dot blogspot dot com
