Join the movement: http://350.org On October 24, 2009 one Iraqi girl stood alone in Babylon and joined millions of people in a global day of action to fight climate change. It was one of the smallest events that day and also one of the most powerful -- the girl's story went on to inspire hundreds of thousands of people.

  • She can, we can even if we have to stand alone

  • I think 350 is smoking too much 420.

  • Awesome and inspiring. A call to action for everyone,

  • @Georgerocker The overriding problem is that it took nature many millions of years (even billions) to transfer carbon from the atmosphere to the ground; we are putting it back into the atmosphere again within 1-2 generations. Fact: CO2 was roughly 275ppm for most of humanity's 200,000 year history. Since the industrial revolution it has climbed to about 390ppm, and continues to climb. Climate change is a major threat but by no means the only one. Life will be very different from now on.

  • Did you know?

The Zeitgeist Movement is another Group out there that has brought up some Real and Tangible Solutions to ACTUALLY SOLVE OUR ECONOMICAL, SOCIAL & ECOLOGICAL CRISIS - to know more about it, watch: "Awakening - Multilang - 1/4" (short video) and "Zeitgeist Addendum". Both of them are on YouTube. The SOLUTIONS presented in both videos are already being applied and they have already been proved to work in the short and long run. It's about time to expand/spread it World Wide.

    :)

  • Use this day to STOP CRIME instead! You want to save lives? STOP child abuse; like put away PEDOPHILES FOR LIFE! They really should get the death penalty! But you "climate change" morons are more concerned about something that doesn't exist rather than something that DOES.

  • Another lesson in how to brainwash 150,000+ people into accepting a fascist world government that doesn't let you have any freedoms.

    How clever is that?

  • Put it this way:

We need water. Water is probably the most important substance in life. You wouldn't want to drink 100 gallons of it a day or breath it in.

  • Holy Ignorance, batman.

Yes, plants use CO2. Yes, everything respires CO2. But now there is TOO MUCH CO2, in large part due to humans burning fossil fuels. CO2 is a greenhouse gas which means it traps in heat.

No one is saying get rid of all CO2. That is dumb. What anyone worth listening to is saying is that we need to reduce the amount to a level that does not dangerously effect how much heat the atmosphere traps in. It has nothing to do with plants using it or not using it.

  • the thing is CO2 is inhaled by plants and gives them energy and then is exhaled by the plants and this creates oxygen

its simple chemistry that is too simple for people who believe in the fairy tale of global warming
