could never imagine a day when the keyboard and mouse would be extinct. technology has come a long way in the last 30 years since the mouse was invented!
I deleted my facebook, myspace, and flicker and don't miss them at all. It was maddening to get pointless messages from people I barely knew or haven't actually seen face to face for several years, telling me they made beef stew for dinner, and it was good but the kids didn't like the veggies...and blah blah blah. I get most of my news on-line from alternate media companies, I don't trust any of the major media any longer, and actually CALL people when I want to talk.
This was very informative. mydownbeach relies heavily on social media and offers a concept that uses mobile internet technology and wristbands to connect people with common interests.
Future of Social Media? This was literally the worst presentation I've ever seen. The presentation is not thought leading or provoking, but rather a simplistic browsing of facts and products. A low-level, unintellectual presentation of screenshots of existing platforms and applications without delving into the implications of how these will interact across the web and impacts is not useful to anyone.
I have heard so much about social media and the benefits that I have decided to try it for me and my business. Of course because I am a really tiny business I didn't have time to do my production and my social media. I made the decision that either I get someone in to do production or else social media. I reckoned that as the business really is about what I produce it would be silly to pass the production on to someone else. after research and "social media" I have come across MagicBuz
Love Cashmore's hair, he is not anything like I thought he would be. That aside I'm excited about ipads competitors gaining access to the market because I want to be able to browse with ease. I hope the industry accelerates faster than apps in the upcoming year.
Lengthy video but interesting to see what the future holds in social media from some of the leading experts in the US.
