Snakes Are Pets Too !!!

People are so worried about snakes breeding? Stupid people should STOP BREEDING !!
49 years of raising snakes and listening to people insult us because along with cats and dogs we prefer to also raise and care for snakes and we get placed in a category all of our own. This is WRONG !!! Stop teaching other people to fear snakes just because you do and most of you can't even explain why you fear snakes in the first place. I seldom speak out about this but I'm sick of it !! Snakes are by far less dangerous to keep than dogs are and dogs have a much higher rate of severe injuries and deaths than snakes EVER did. Do research, watch videos and re-educate yourself !!

@chamalani Not in the same sense that humans do but they are capable of bonding with people and totally capable of showing protective behavior and mine even pout when I raise my voice to them and they will turn away and hide their head in the corner. I wouldn't really call it emotions as much as I would call it a behavior response based on the normal routine with their handler and their reaction to any changes. I personally feel they do myself after raising them for 50 years.

@Vincentvondoom LOL I've had my eyes on the Rosey Boas for some time now :O) Good call but right now I have 9 snakes which 5 of those exceed five feet and for one female that's a lot of snakes to take care of. I also love the Dumeril's !!

@crapface345 Emotionally no animal loves you back. They bond with you and trust you over time but they don't have the mental capacity to love anyone. They have a protective and defensive behavior based on instinct.

i hate when people say they love ALL the ANIMALS but they hate snakes, insects, etc. thats weird... and stupid. i love all animals, even the deadliest creature of all time, the box jellyfish.

@LoveDoggsDawgs Most any animal is only mean or aggressive if they live in a stressful environment and their needs aren't provided. I don't know why people treat animals so bad so they turn out to be mean because it's neither cute nor a productive life for ANY animal.
