@alesbica ok so we are both clumsy for not reading the title thoroughly enough to notice that these are audience questions...so there is no need to be mad on ellen....she just read the question probably viewers send in....i understand that your mad and yes, it wasn't such a big deal to change the word man into mate....but you can't be mad just for that....yes it was a long time ago, but what times where does?...if it wasn't for her coming out there would be many gays still closeted and ashamed

@alemeyo And how has she earned a break? Just because she came out? Wow. It doesn't take much, does it. That was a bunch of years ago, and now she is very successful; she can still acknowledge that not everyone is straight with simple, non-controversial modifications to her questions.

@alemeyo I do understand that, but you're obviously not understanding or reading my response thoroughly. I'm not asking her to turn the show into a LGBT-focused show; I was just commenting that she could have formed that question in such a way that there's no assumption that every woman is straight. She just needed to write "mate" instead of "man". Sheesh!! Do you get it now?
