Herat is considered to be be Afghanistan's most prosperous city. But its fortunes have declined since the US invasion seven years go. Flows of power and money in the country have shifted. Now, the proud army of fighters who used to defend the city's citadel are nostalgic for the days before Kabul, the capital, held so much sway. Al Jazeera's David Chater reports.

So what you are saying is that Ismael Khan sodomizes this youth. That he IS in fact a sodomite; yearning to cover himself in sin & the disgusting feces of another....You imply that Khan loves the youth as he did marry him......That he flaunts this relationship through the Holy vows of marriage.... karzai's government is definately corrupt but only because it has gathered all the warlords in its administration, such as ismael khan, shown in the video. he is one of the most corrupt, a shia, who married a 6 year old boy before the taliban came to power. people like him know their fate if the likes of the taliban return. Afghanistan will only succeed without corruption once all former warlords are punished for their crimes and eradicated from the administration if not eliminated from society.

So what are your plans after the overthrow? The Taliban will rule? What were your views when the soviet union had invaded afghanistan? Were you supportive of Taliban resistance at that time?
