In this very recent interview with Bloomberg Jim Rogers says Asia is the future, the dollar is a terribly flawed currency and he doesn't want to own any, oil will certainly pass $200/barrel soon, and the (privately owned) Federal Reserve will disappear within the next decade.

@Laykingdom I think the china or Russia will not be the contender as the currency reserve. most oil countries act together & the arab countries used to like the idea of asking for Euros for oil sales I think. If they all together decide this, there is no might on earth that can punish all these countries at the same time, the Americans are already spead so thin and has no money to pay for wars. China likes an artificially weak currency they would not want to be the reserve currency I think.

@Laykingdom I think that the dollar can collapse much more soonner than that, as the US economy falters because of bad government choices and borrowing money to go to unending wars, weak economic foundation and weak and hyper-specialised industrial outputs by the US (they only export weapons now). the US currency will steadily get less and less desirable. There is a fatal blow that can occur anytime, as soon as enough oil countries on the globe decide to not use US dollars for oil sales.
