Spot, My Paddle Tail Newt

One of my Paddle tail newts named Spot (my good and favorite newt, my other newt is a bad boy). He was climbing on my hand and I was trying to make him not fall into the floor. He almost fell. :o

FYI your skin is the equivalent of salt to a slug to your newt, you should not be handling it like that ever.  At the very least wash your hands extremely well (do not leave any soap residue) and even then you should only be touching your pet to see if it's hurt or something. Stop doing that.

well one of my fire bellies doed and i got another paddle tail but it is not working out too well with them(they fight to much)

Paddletails are usually aggressive. I had 4 now I have 3 cause 1 got eaten by a cat. The one tht got eaten only got along with one of them the other 2 hate each other so those two are separated from the others.

Can they come out of the water, and whats this about only being able to handle them for 10-15 mins?

They do the mothers protect the eggs and i just found out the 2 i have are breeding and i may have some baby newts soon
