Outsourcing is the rational response to the threat of union thugs. Unions are evil tyrants who steal, threaten, abuse, and destroy. Improvements in working conditions and wages come from productive companies making a profit, no from abusive union thugs threatening honest employers.

@herbs814 No... unions keep a reasonable income and control a company so it's workers can live and plan for a future. Even if this is a year old. Otherwise, you get heavy outsourcing and low wages, companies will work them for as long as they can for as little as they can. Had it not been for a union protecting the workers, 10-12hr days would be common for only $18 an hr, with no vacation, no sick leave, no benefits and no pension or retirement. Something like I currently do at this time.

Yeah right, like any economists have accurately predicted anything! Every month when the figures come out they are "shocked", "Surprised", or the results were "unexpected".

Personally I think the economists are a group of liars. Probably paid by someone to lie.

Again, im back. thats me in the Video. I have now left Gillette Wy. Why? because when you grow up in a suburb of a city like Detroit its hard to move to the middle of nowhere. And though the people of Wy have a big heart they dont really want to know about the rest of the world. Also just the convenices of a big city were just too far...........We just couldnt adjust. Also it was hard to break into any kind of social group we were outsiders. we have moved elsewhere and are very happy.

If ur Econ 101 class taught u that unions set their own wages then maybe u need to consider who's behind the "philosophies" in those classes. Unions don't corrupt companies...ELITISM does!!!!

Unions don't "set wages" the wages are AGREED upon by them and the companies they work with....as soon as the big companies learned that they could (whether legally or not) pay foreigners less, they did that AND moved their mfg. to other countries. Unions have negotiated pay cut after pay cut but it wasn't enuff to compete with the the labor costs of foreigners or those in POOR countries!!

Wages don't skyrocket because unions "set" them....wages skyrocket becuz the COST OF LIVING skyrockets. Unions are now obsolete becuz they have been slowly killed off so that Mexico and China...who CAN LIVE OFF OF $7.00 per hour...can make their parts cheaper so they can get RICHER! What do we make now?!?

So, if Unions do nothing to help the economy then where do YOU suppose the Middle/Working class for the last 100 years or so came from? How was it that people for generations made a livng workin in unions if unions r the problem?
