  • Actually comes from a cow kicking over the milk bucket. :D

  • So I guess that's where the phrase "kick the bucket" came from?

  • much respect, nice video and system with technique, thumbs up

  • this is very interesting.

We do it completely different in other country

    educational videos.

  • @Emarkostas This comment is just not factual. If you actually watch the chickens in this video you realize they are not aware they have been cut. There is no pain in it. Do you have pain when you stand up too rapidly and get light-headed? Blood loss to the brain simply de-activates the brain. The Animal Welfare studies are taken from factory settings, not farm settings. The stun guns are dangerous, expensive and dishonor the life of the bird and reduce the quality of the meat.

  • The chickens are not stunned. So they feel all the pain. The best way is to stunn the chicken with gas or electricity. (Animal Wallfare)

  • best humane way of killing chicken

  • @MrChickendog several things may be done wrong. The tenderness of the meat depends on when the chicken has eaten for the last time, amongst other things. Also it depends on the post rigor phase. If you for example don't allow the meat to 'process itself' after slaughter you'll end up getting tough meat. I don't know how you did it exactly, put it is important to wait with deboning for a while after slaughter.

  • i used this method and my chickens were really stiff after and the meat was really chewy. Did I do something wrong? They were stiff an hour after in the fridge.

  • Now that is the way to kill chickens. I wish all slaughterhouses did it that way.

  • Now I know how to pluck a chicken the right way. Thanks, good video.

  • great vid...
