Jean Harlow made a trip to Washington D.C. in 1937 to celebrate the birthday of F.D.R. This was shortly before her untimely death at the age of 26. This rare footage shows her approaching a microphone as we hear her greet an audience. It is only a few seconds long, but it is wonderful to see her in a setting we only have stills of.

  • thanks for posting. Do u think she was wearing a wig? So tragic that she would be dead in six months.

  • Yes, so tragic. She stopped wearing the wigs after "Riff-Raff" & "Wife Vs. Secretary" in early '36. This was her own hair. I'm glad you enjoyed it :-)
