The Sessions opens in theaters on October 26th, 2012.

Based on the poignantly optimistic autobiographical writings of California-based journalist and poet Mark O'Brien, "The Sessions" tells the story of a man confined to an iron lung who is determined-at age 38-to lose his virginity. With the help of his therapists and the guidance of his priest, he sets out to make his dream a reality.

I think you are mistaken. The father is played by William H Macy - he starred in Fargo. p.s: I love Shameless too, but that ain't Frank

The actor that plays the father in this movie stars in a show called Shameless on Showtime and it is the best show EVER; needless to say that his role is COMPLETELY different than the church man he plays here.
