can i ask you why did you not take the rickenbacker back to the shop you purchased it from?? thats what i would have done and demanded a new one. cheers

@puppiesinspace Rickenbacker may as well move the factory to Juarez or Tijuana, they'd be closer to the labor pool and the quality would probably be better!

God bless you for posting these!! I've been screwed over twice by these guys (both times on a 4001C64). I still believe American made is the best, but Rickenbacker's quality control is less than that of a Chinese guitar factory.... Understaffed with cheap labor (if you know what I'm hinting at) should be their motto.

you no most of us think that he is being a winey bitch, but if most of us even got a 1000 dollar guitar that had a string missing most of us would do way worse. and he got a 3 grand guitar and wasn't even set up right.

maybe the kid should be driving you to school and you should be learning some lessons on how to be grateful. poor kid!

I've never had a prob with any new or old Rick that I own. Seriously, I believe your prob is not too common (in spite of some of the comments here, of course you will attract others who are unhappy with Rick). I do think you paid too much (3 grand?). Should have shopped around! :)
It is pronounced BACK, however, even if you're saying the old spelling (bach). But even Slash gets that wrong :)

@shamustwin Thanks..you have to be one the first comments on here that wasnt rude or just pissy...I remember it wasnt quite 3000..I just rounded up...the whole point I tried to make with the three videos was customer service sucked..For the money I should not have had to go through all the crap I did...young people do not understand customer service these days..I made a stand the only way I could...to say Shame on you Rick..do better..
