Nabi Tablet with the Android Market installed!! (with pc & sd card installed)

**** DIFFERENT INSTALL DIRECTIONS****

1. INSTALL WITH PC, NO SD CARD
Click on the download link above. You will be redirected to the mediafire download page. Click on download. Save this file to your desktop. Connect your Nabi to your pc via usb. Drag this file from your desktop and drop it onto the external device storage (NAND) drive. Without an sd card your pc will only locate one drive. Use this drive to drop your file onto. Once you disconnect your nabi from your pc, open up the app ES File Explorer on your Nabi. If you do not have this installed yet, please install it from the Nabi App Zone. Upon opening ES File Explorer, with no sd card, you will see "SD CARD unmounted or not present". Exit this screen by tapping on the sd card tab (1st tab). The sd card tab will change to a home tab. Locate & tap on your nand file. This is where you will find the 1 file you drag & dropped from your pc. File #4 is the apk you will be installing, this is the Market application. Tap on this file and install. After install, DO NOT OPEN, choose done & close out of all apps. Power off your Nabi by pressing and holding down the power button until the device powers off. Wait a few seconds and power device back on. In mommy mode, open your app drawer and open your Market app.....ENJOY!!

First you want to install ES File Explorer from the Nabi App Zone. It is a free file managing app and you will need it to install the Android Market. Next, use your Nabi stock browser (NOT the Maxthon mobile browser) to access this download link http://www.mediafire.com/?5ugdtl9awt74l14 (Market)
Tap on the download link for the one file needed. You will be redirected to the mediafire download page. Tap on download. This will start the download directly on your Nabi. You can check the progress of your download by dragging down your notification bar on your Nabi. Once this download is complete tap your home key to exit back to mommy mode. Open your app drawer, locate & open your ES File Explorer app. With no sd card installed, you will see "SD CARD unmounted or not present". Exit this screen by tapping on the sd card tab (1st tab). The sd card tab will change to a home tab. Locate & tap on your nand file. Inside of your nand file, locate & tap on your download file. The file you downloaded will be named 4.txt Long press on this file & select rename. Change the txt to apk and select ok. Now tap on your file named 4.apk and select install. After install, DO NOT OPEN, choose done & close out of all apps. Power off your Nabi by pressing and holding down the power button until the device powers off. Wait a few seconds and power device back on. In mommy mode, open your app drawer and open your Market app.....ENJOY!!

Quick question though... I downloaded a bunch of free games. Then my kiddo gets on the kid mode and unlocked some levels buy playing then it asked if she wanted to buy some levels. She hit "yes" it took $3.99 out of my account. While I don't care about $4... it will add up quick if I don't figure out how to block her on kid mode from purchasing anything. No password used, no mommy mode. Thoughts?? Thanks in advance. Renee.

@reneelazarrus, check out my other video for blocking access to the internet through in app ads. I show you what app protection app I'm using on my daughters Nabi. You can prevent access to the internet, market, appstore, etc. With this app you add any app you don't want your child accessing. If your child clicks on an ad a password prompt screen will pop up. The only way for your child to exit this screen is to hit the home button which takes them back to kidz mode.

Hm, the Android Market application crashed immediately after start. Any help, please?

@skautflek, did you reboot before you opened the market? You'll need to uninstall & reinstall the market app. Once installed, DO NOT OPEN, choose Done. Reboot your Nabi. Once it's fully booted back up, go to mommy mode, pull up your app drawer & open up your Market app.

Thank you so much for this video. I bought and returned 3 tablets for my 8 year old kiddo before finding the Nabi. Once I found this amazing tablet for my daughter I could not figure out how to download the market. You made it so simple and saved the night. Thanks a bunch.... Renee

@mmescue I was using the latest version of the Market application (3.4.4). When I tried 3.3.12 it worked well.

@ThompsonLove1, what do mean when you say it looks blank? I just checked the download and it looks like it should. Please describe what you see.
