This is the hot tub I built for less than $100NZ. This little burner heats the water in about 4 hours - enough time to cook a decent feed on the top.

how well does the thermosiphon work? I'm making one just now, but was thinking I would need a punp to circulate the water through the stove. Also what is the waterpipe like inside the stove? I was thinking on making a copper coil
As far as moving water thu the heater the thermosiphon works pretty well. You do have to stir the water in the tub to mix the hot and cold layers. The stainless coil makes 2.5 turns inside the heater before it comes out. Next time I'd put the coil higher in the heater so it absorbs more of the heat from the flames and exhaust gases and I'd put the fire at ground level. Right now the cold coil quenches the fire a bit and causes creosote to form. Wouldn't be as good to look at tho... Good luck!

Add a wok on top of the robot, cook up a stir fry and turn it around for a Japanese robot.
...I'll join you ;)
