I just filled out my application. How long is the hiring process, from interview to first day in london? How much do you come out of pocket?

Oh my gosh!!!!! I just found this.... If you want to make serious bank onboard, email me and I will send you a book I wrote about making money in the spa on ships. P.S - I was a manager with Steiner with Carnival and RCCL. Good luck, ships rock, PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
No I'm not cruising anymore, I'm living on land in Miami now. I traveled a lot of saved money- just like you're saying you want to do. Yeah, people say a lot of bad things about working on ships...Yes, you do get really tired, the managers are hard, you get overworked,...but the positives, by far, weigh out the negatives. You have so much fun on board at times- crew bar, island beaches on your day off, sunsets in the middle of the ocean.... Take the chance. You'll be happy with it.

After the interview, you should find out within the next few weeks if you're hired. They ask you when the soonest you will be available to travel to London is to start training. You do have a good amount of expenses your first contract. I don't know how much it is now, but when I started it was about $1000 or so...not including my flight to London. They covered my flight from London to the cruise ship.
