  • "We did not, repeat did not, trade arms for hostages."

"Trees cause more pollution than automobiles."

"Jefferson Davis is a hero of mine."

"I'm not worried about the deficit."

Ah, the wisdom of Ronald Reagan

  • Um... wasn't he just straight lying with that last quote? He personally oversaw the sponsoring of terrorism in Chile in order to install America's puppet dictator General Pinochet. So in this case America directly caused death by bullets (and torture), and curtailed freedom - out of pure and cynical national self-interest. Imperialism.

And that's just one example, sufficient in itself - there's no getting away from it and no way of fitting that into the image of Reagan the benevolent leader.

  • @jjdward

    yeah good luck finding one.

  • @7890pookie tell me, how many Vietnamese did Kennedy got killed? Do you think that it runs in the millions? Bay of Pigs was when the US trained cuban exiles in order to overthrow the Cuban government, right? If Mexico trains Americans in order to overthrow Obama and or Bush, How would you call that? You see black people when you talk about welfare, welfare for the poor, right? do you see white people when the subject is welfare, welfare for the rich? or are you blind when it is about whites?

  • @7890pookie You are changing the subject again. Talking about States rights in the context of racism and violence does make you a racist. I support states rights when it comes to abolishing racism. The south fought for slavery using the states rights argument. He oppose the passage of the 1964 civil Rights act and Open Housing Act, its a fact. research it. I also support limited national government, for example cut the military which is GOVERNMENT. Most "welfare" goes to white ppl.

  • @niev0000 your arguments are a joke. Was Kennedy a murderer for the Bay of Pigs? Was Washington a murderer because patriots killed loyalists? thats what your saying. And i know for a fact that reagan supported the civil rights act. And just because someone supports states rights doesnt mean he is racist. i support states rights and limited national government. and i am not a supporter of welfare (the way it is now) or huge bailouts but i guess that makes me a racist cus some blacks r on welfare.
