I have just completed a film that incorporates this full concert as well as 3 other performances by Del Byzanteens, with several new interviews and lots of byzantine flair. The film is titled "Eskimo Lounge Music", available on DVD. You can visit this link for more info--
First heard of them in late '82 and instntly fell in love with the sound of Draft Riot, War, Sally Goes round the roses... managed to grab "Lies To Live By" LP several years later, and still to date it remains one of my greatest vinyl treasures. This is the super group in true meaning of the word, only no one at the time it existed knew it.
Phil Kline, John Lurie and Jim Jarmush together on one stage... sounds like an artistic thunder. These things can only happen in NY :)
Interesting,,,Glad they were doing Mary Wilson's & Florence Ballard's part of the song, just needed some of their oohs & Away We Go! cool video, thanks.
