@poopy1239 He didn't just write pop music,in fact he hated pop music.Most of his music isn't pop.Hip-hop,aggressive hip-hop,Rock,soul,R&B,and many more different music styles.I wouldn't call "pop" a music style.The origin of "pop" is popular music.Which he made popular and timeless music and that's why it was so popular because know matter when you listen to it,it feels like it's brand new.

So yes,Michael deserved to be introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They totally disrespected one of the greatest artist of all time. the rock and roll hall of fame completely drop the ball on this induction. Because of the way they treated MJ, I refuse to watch any of that shit again. They treated Madonna better than that, and she really can't sing, and MJ has broken Every musical record there is,and that no artist in my lifetime will never be able to touch. SHAME on you ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF SHAME!!!
