Do you know what it means to Miss New Orleans - Dutch Swing College Band 1976

The Dutch Swing College Band from the Netherlands in a concert during a tour in Austria in 1976.
Cornettist Bert de Kort has this wonderful stylistic feel that is reminiscent of the Bobby Hackett approach. Today in 2007, more than 30 years later, Bert is part of the Dutch Swing College team again. The band is now under the leadership of reedplayer Bob Kaper.

Leader Peter Schilperoort soprano sax, Bert de Kort cornet, Bob Kaper clarinet, Dick Kaart trombone, Jaap van Kempen guitar, Henk Bosch van Drakensteyn bass and Huub Janssen drums.

    Thank you !

  • yeah i miss it..

  • Nice to see and hear a Dobro guitar. And seeing the cornet player putting the embachure where it feels best, contradicting the pundits. great sound
