Wonderful footage of a 1st generation DC-6 in UAL livery, plus some "Film Noir" thrown in for good measure.
In addition, a couple of scenes of United DC-4s can also be seen.
Notice in part 1 that the Captain's hat has no "Wheat on it's brim", and of course, pilot's never flew wearing their hat & coats. :-)
Danish actress Osa Massen is here; never became a big star, but she worked in films with big names like Fred MacMurray, & Joan Crawford.
Also here is Gene Raymond (Who also directed this picture), notable for "Flying Down To Rio", and many others.
The "Villain" is played by Francis Lederer; a well know character actor ("The Diary Of Anne Frank") who worked up until the day he died on May 25, 2000 at age 100.
In later years, he was named an "Honorary Mayor" of Canoga Park, CA, through his efforts to beautify the city.

@TheWarPlanet Hell, yes! Any time I've flown an airplane (single engine land), I always had the plane all fired up and ready to roll before requesting taxi instructions. Any idea how long it took to fire up all four engines on one of these 1950's DC'6's? I know long enough for "ground control" to get a little impatient waiting for the pilot to start the engines, have the "air stairs" pulled back and the wheel chocks removed.!

@hudson501 No.

Wait a minute! Shouldn't the "air stairs" be pulled back and all four engines started before the pilot requests "taxi instructions" from the tower?!!
