I've finally worked it out, THIS is what the new series have lost. The raw emotion, and the ability to actually make you feel what they feel. This might sound a bit melodramatic, but they've taken out the darkness and that's like taking away a piece of the Doctor.

can anyone still believe that after watching this scene, people still complain about Tennant's doctor being to whiny and emotional. This episode was very..."decent", the ending sucked a bit but atleast his and Simms performance saved it
