  • I went home and a week later my parents discovered I had HLHS because I was turning blue!!!!

  • I meant to include that the only way to tell is an Echocardiogram, also known as an ultrasound of the heart.

  • It is not true that a pulse-ox will always catch single ventricle. My daughter was born with HLHS. She did not even have a slit in her heart that could be recognized as a left ventricle. She had apgars of 9 and 9 when she was born and her pulse-ox was 94.
