just by looking at these video clips, I feel that this behaviour is not from God. Why would God cause us to go out of ourselves and behave so uncontrollably, a way that would scare, turn off an unbeliever who's visiting a church. All that rolling around and yelping and babbling is so unnecessary. It's chaotic, the opposite of what God wants us to be..people who value self-control
@Gaericon you have excepted a counterfit experience. When a church is dead that is when they look for an experience. If you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, TITHE!
This is a pretty funny video,i don't care what they're doing,if they think gods making them do it,fine...it's nothing to do with the holy spirit in them making them be goofballs,it's there own trip..yes that's my own opinion...slain in the spirit and falling back? hogwash man.i been there..if your truly free in Christ, good,go do a belly flop in a mud puddle screaming praise the lord, or masturbate and say praise the lord for my right hand..for there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus!
@Gaericon Yes, certainly one doesn't have to rack up a certain number of years before becoming a 'mature' Christian. I've met plenty who've been baptised for decades & are clearly very immature. Sadly, some of these have been pastors & elders: both in conservative churches but also in 'radical' charismatic. The former tend to ignore the Holy Spirit, the latter think all 'spirits' are 'Holy'.
@anthonythirteen to be honest, the clearest prophecy I've ever heard was from a person who was saved and freed from suidice, then baptized in the Holy Spirit and was a Christian for about 1 hour. She had the same Holy Spirit as I did, but without all the religious crap I've walked around with for 20 years. Truthfully, if you have the Holy Spirit, you're equipped for every good work. Though yes, certainly maturity of actually walking in the Spirit helps, but years "in the Lord" mean nothing.
@Gaericon Don't get me wrong, I've seen what a faithful church can achieve & the immense benefits. However, these were not following the 'Charismatic' emphasis upon 'miraculous events'. Mature believers can manifest all of the above gifts, but it is clear when the immature attempt to practice them.
@anthonythirteen ...where people are "encouraged" to tithe (not accepted unless they do); where the "tongues" are said en masse & not translated (contrary to the teaching of St Paul). I have seen healing, but whether that is God or antiobiotics I'm not so sure.
@Gaericon Thanks for the offer. In turn, you should come to churches where the only prophecies come from the same little clique that runs the church (paid staff, ironically) just telling them how great is their church

When David danced before the Lord WITH ALL HIS MIGHT PRACTICALLY NAKED, was he being a fake too? God forbid people start dancing like David for God.
