I couldn't find the official lyrics to this song, so this is just what I think it sounds like. Comment if you think I got some words wrong.
My name is Bo Jack Loomis and I come from the whiskey hills.
The revenuers named them back in the days of the fast cars and stills.
It's a five-mile washed out loggin' road, damn this track down
That leads me to the two-lane blacktop that'll bring me to your fuckin' town.
Well I see my mama wash clothes on a board and hang 'em on the line to dry.
See, my dad was swappin' hogs for money; we were barely gettin' by.
Well I ain't proud, just damn sure poor and now you point you gun at me.
You tell me to give you my money. Well take a good look at me.
Daddy had a 10 acre white trash farm.
I was never hungry and always warm.
Well, I was raised Christian, so I know, if I die right now where I'm gonna go.
Daddy had a 10 acre white trash farm.
Well, you won't get much by shootin' me 'cause I'm livin' hand-to-mouth.
Im a redneck boy comin' out of these hills. Im a snuff-dippin' son of the south.
Hey listen man, this ain't a colored thing; nothin' to do about skin.
If you believe in Adam and Eve, then brother, were both kin.
So please, mister, please put your hogleg down and let me just walk away,
and the Lord, He can forgive you. We will meet again one day.
But if you choose to pull that trigger and snuff my life away,
I pray God damns your ornery soul come the judgment day.
Daddy had a 10 acre white trash farm.
I was never hungry and always warm.
Well, I was raised Christian, so I know, if I die right now where I'm gonna go.
Daddy had a 10 acre white trash farm.
Awesome job on the lyrics but I think the beginning starts a little different.
Right where you have:
"The river knew his name from back in the day of the fast cars and stills," I believe it should be: "The revenuers named them back in the days of the fast cars and stills.
Revenuers where the government agents during prohibition who came after the moonshiners, so they would have named the hills whiskey hills after the white lightning. Thanks for the rest of it I had been wondering!

@coastercarl1
Thanks. I edited the lyrics to what you thought it should be. Your idea made more sense than mine. Thanks for the idea!
