I couldnt move the overlap part up and down only left and right and zoom in and out!!

how do you do real split screen? basically i want two videos of equal size playing next to each other, WITHOUT any size or aspect ratio changes

The title of the tutorial is wrong, you showed a PIP (picture in picture) effect not a Split screen effect. A split screen is where there are two pictures of equal size on either side of the screen
