The reckoning is finally at hand in World of WarCraft's newest content patch - Fall of the Lich King.

Features of note in patch 3.3:

- Icecrown Citadel 10- and 25-man raid instance - the conclusion of the Wrath of the Lich King story.
- The Frozen Halls of Icecrown Citadel: A new 5-player dungeon with three wings that are unlocked subsequently. Fight alongside Jaina Proudmoore for the Alliance or Sylvanas Windrunner for the Horde!
- Cross-realm LFG system

I haven't played WoW for 6 months and I must say, looks tempting...

Today, we spontaneously decided to step into ICC10 after we did TotGC10. We only did Lord Marrowgar (the first boss, the skeleton guy with the four skulls) and beat him on the first try. However, I don't think a PuG would have fared as good, and we only did it that fast because everyone was pretty excited and at the top of their game.

The bottom line is - it was a relly fun encounter! So, however it's going to go on from here, the first boss, at least, is cool. I'm hopeful for the rest.

TheSuperVinc's answer pretty much nails it, although the subsequent wings might not be unlocked via patch, seeing as the data is already there. They'll probably "just unlock".

And it's not every week, either. If I remember correctly, the second wing (The Plagueworks) unlock 28 days after the patch, which would mean three weeks from NOW. The wings after that one will unlock sooner, the first unlock period is that long because of the holidays.

Well, the RAID itself is already there, and it's not like you had nothing to do until the last wing finally unlocks. Seeing as ToC only had five bosses (which also took one week each to unlock), we're getting more content faster this time around.

Not to mention that the Citadel looks way more interesting than that arena... ^^

every week you'll have a new patc with a new wing of the instance, there will be 4 wings, and the lich king will be in the last one, it means toady in 2 weeks! i find it good with the different modes hero and nh, it gives to possibility to more people to enjoy hl pve =)
