and AGAIN JUST LIKE I HAD TO CORRECT jon4lakers...THE MACBOOK AIR SINCE LAST QUARTER OF 2010 AND THIS YEAR " HAVE " BACKLIT KEYBOARDS" you are full of shit..or either your unit : 1 the settings were altered coherent to that feature,2 yourunit was defective in that part. Explanation? THEY HAVE an Ambient sensor inside it. and it senses teh amount of light hitting the keyboard. when amount of light goes down to a certain extent or amount or darkness. the underneath keyboard lights lightup
