tear everything down, incinerate all man-made objects, set all debts to zero, give everyone a plot of land evenly distributed, give us all one stick each......and go.....

@hitachi088 Yeop, you are correct, but the video doesn't mention their electric charge per KWH does it? My 7 year old computer uses only 5.4 watts in standbye, or 4.2 when turned off, but plugged in. In standbye mode, that's $2.88 per year at 6.1 cents per KWH if just in standbye mode 24/7.

Actually, where I live in the USA, a device that uses 1.4 watts like you use as an example, 365, would be 1.4w x 8760 hours per year divided 1000 watts to a Kwh = 12.26 x 6.1 cents per Kwh = 74.81 cents a year (1/2 of your quote). Even less are are cell phone chargers left plugged in with no phone, using 0.1 or <0.1 watts. Hardly worth the USA campaign to unplug them at like 5 cents per year. I suggest people look at larger items that are off using energy, like cable boxes, DVD palyers, tv..
