Working Fire

This fire was in Charlestowns first due, also due on the box was Perryville for an engine, truck and tanker and North East for an engine. Fire origin was believed to be unattended cooking (bacon left on stove). Video starts approx 12 minutes after the 911 call was recieved. Crews encountered heavy fire and smoke conditions on the first floor along with some fire in a void space between floors.

Nice video. Unfortunately, I beleive it's a good example of "a" poor fireground practice.

What caused the delay in getting water to the first line. If it wasn't a mechanical issue, then the driver should get his butt chewed.

The goal, should be to have an effective firestream flowing on the fire in less than a minute of engaging the parking brake.

It dissapointing to see this type of firefighting still happening.

Lot of folks out side with air packs on, is that the RIT / Rescue team(s). Didn't see a Thermal Camera? Won't say anything about the slow water but I was really glad to see the ladder go up for an exit option! God bless and keep pushing forward!
