  • I have not seen this movie in years. I loved the Marx Bros. They are funnier than the Three Stooges. More cerebral, less slapstick. The Stooges went for the quick cheap laugh. To enjoy the Marx Bros. you had to listen closely to 'get it'.

  • It's a close tie between Duck Soup (1933) and A Night at the Opera (1935) for my favorite Marx Brothers movie. Horse Feathers (1932) is almost as good as those two films but not quite. I know a lot of people are hot on A Day at the Races (1937), but, trust me, that movie is not the very best of the Marx Brothers. Save A Day at the Races for later.

  • I'm sold. I gotta watch some of these films. This humor is hilarious

  • while it may not be their all round best, Duck Soup is by far their funniest film!

  • the bros careers took off once they worked with Thalberg at MGM

  • yeah i know. i have always thought the stooges were a bit overated.
