  • damn it it seems so common and i diff not have the problem since i bought this mac on April till yesterday, i dunno how it breaks my heart. that amount of cash you pay gives you this at the end of the day

  • @rainblack11 I "fixed" mine by using the tape method. Just remove the back cover and place a small piece of tape on the back of the case to prevent the grounding spring contacts from touching the case. Should we have to do this?? No. Could it cause a problem with the laptop down the road? Maybe. After a few months of that sound though, I just wanted it to go away!

  • @manuel, no, I haven't fixed it yet and I haven't had a chance to check out the article rkolomis mentioned.

  • please, for the love of god, HOW DO I FIX THIS??

  • @jaredtkatz yeah, it is just an awful sound. I haven't brought mine into the store yet as we are about 90 miles away from the nearest one. Until then....

  • @henlij damn that sucks, there are two within 15 minutes of my house. i guess i'll stop by

  • @jaredtkatz if/when you do, let us know. I'll do the same. :-)

  • @henlij i dont wanna like fix it yet because mine is still under warranty. hope my laptop is gonna be alright for the next few years. its my first apple, and i don want it to like fail on me.

  • Excuse me, the spring clips on the grounding bar that is making contact with the case. Its not the touchpad. My bad.

  • touchpad is loose.

  • fix!! I swear no spam -- /watch?v=0uuhLyxKjRo

  • also driving me crazy, problem seems wide spread

  • mine does this too! IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!

  • SO weird! That's part of why they use aluminum, not plastic. I'm on a PC right now and it creaks any time I rest my wrist and it drives me NUTS. I hope you get it fixed.

  • MINE DOES THIS TOO! UGHHHH it drives me crazy! I got a brand new one and then it started doing the same thing too!
