Here I demonstrate the lights and lighted control panels. Still need to get the red and yellow warning lights working. Not sure why it is so noisy...maybe exhaust leak? Oil pressure is 50 PSI at idle.

  • Seeing a schoolbus at night like that really takes me back to all the overnight trips we would take when I was in band, in high school. Aaaah, memories! Yup, coming back from a long trip, all our insturments and luggage piled high in the back few seats, a bunch of us talking and laughing loudly; drunk on sleep deprivation... good times. The people I hung out with in band are now the best friends i ever had.

you just brought back a flood of good memories. Thanks, Chad!

  • You know, I had the thought of similar events when I saw the bus at night, I wasn't in band but was the piano accompanist for choir and we would sometimes come back late at night on a school bus from a competition or something. I guess that actually has been about 15 years ago for me though, my how time flies.

  • Man this takes me back to about 1985 when I was in Scouts and one time we took a trip to camp in winter, and I was sitting the back with the rest of the singing along to Ghostbusters playing loud on a ghetto blaster...Imagine if I could relive that!

  • It has a large exhaust leak, sounds insanely awesome

  • Thus was uploaded on my birthday!

  • i am thinking of buying me an 1990 chevy bus from a church, and it has a diesel engine in it, and only has 77k miles on it, air brakes, needs some nice seats to replace the seats that are worn and ripped up, but they are still seatable, just waiting on for a green light from him and i'll buy it from them and keep it as my own personal bus

  • Nice video.

  • Yes, it sounds like a leaky exhaust manifold.

Love the lights inside, it's like a starship!

  • sounds like leaky exhaust manifolds, the buses with the 366 are notorious for them. With it being a work engine, if it did have a internal engine noise, it wouldn't be running this many years later.

  • Why it's noisy, it sounds like either a rocker or a push rod is either sticking or worn

  • Old´s time of my life beautiful school bus

  • Looks like it's based on a early or mid-70's Vandura/Rally/Chevy Van to me... (Similar gauges and identical headlights, but the vans lack brake gauges)
