jack london has great nooks like those two he also has "the sea-wolf" go check it out i own all three but those are his only books :( cause he died at the age of forty in 1916

Hmm... I think my favorite animal novel is "Felidae." A few other favorites are "Ratha's Creature," the "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" series, "Watership Down," "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH," and "Venus Among the Fishes."
Speaking of VMtF, I'd also recommend "Child of the Wolves" from one of the same authors. Not one of my top favorites, but still very good. :)

I loved the book silverwing I have read everyone of his books. I also have heard about the fire bringer my cousin read it and recommended it to me but I haven't have a chance to read it yet!

Firebringer is an excellent novel. Who thought deer could be made to be so interesting. I highly recommend it also.

I own the first book too. I didn't enjoy it very much because there were so many different characters and the story was hard to follow.
