Under the Same Sky is, as far as we know, the first furry samurai film ever. We created it as a tribute to Toshiro Mifune, Akira Kurosawa, and Stan Sakai.

A higher-resolution version is in the works, and we are working on releasing a full-quality version on DVD.

The film premiered at (and was produced for) Furry Night Live at Further Confusion 2008, which was January 24-28 this year at the San Jose Doubletree. This year's theme was "The Fur East". Find out more at http://www.furtherconfusion.org/ !

It's a park called Hakone Gardens, in Saratoga, CA. It's a great place to film; they filmed a few scenes there for the movie Memoirs of a Geisha, too.

Glad I checked my messages on my other account one last time. It seems all it would take really is a bunch of small successful releases straight to video style. Something that would give anyone a reason to see it aside from furries.

Believe me, it wasn't easy filming the whole deal, and it was so cold at Hakone Gardens where we were filming that you can see the steam coming out from Toshiro's mouth!

Blockbuster funding? I wish... if only Spielberg was a furry!
