  • hard to believe tucker tried this but he was a gutsy singer who sang well even into his 4th decade of singing. Tucker was a warrior . I have only heard Caruso sing this ringing full added note at the end ..It is special because it sounds here as if he could have held it forever... seems as if he just shuts it down due to recording time restrictions/ limitations of the day. But often with Caruso this seemed to be the case!

  • Very nice interpolated Bb near the end...Richard Tucker did this too in live performances later on.
