I was introduced to Sigridur and her music by Einar at 12 Tonar. Since I was new to her music I asked if she could suggest anyone who she would feel comfortable interviewing her and she put me in touch with Kira. As you can see there is a great warmth and respect between the two musicians. We look forward to Kira's documentary on Sigridur.

The Prisoner is such a touching song. All the artists of my age have nothing on Sigridur Neilsdottir. She is on the level of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen to me - only exceeds the general independent thought in pure message - she is unique and different in an uncommon way. We should celebrate this.
