OHMYJONAS. I haven't posted in forever. I am so very sorry. I've just been so caught up in everything. I had a bunch of school work to do, and my ex-boyfriend and his family moved to Texas. It's just been a really hard couple weeks. So hopefully I can get back on track.

[Friday, 2:04pm - Daphne's Bentley]
"Did you two talk while I was gone?" Riley asked.
"Uhm, a little." I simply answered.
"Really? About what?" he asked curiously.
Did he really have no idea? Am I supposed to pretend like I don't know?
"Riley," I said slowly. "Are you close to you mom?"
"Yeah, she's the closest family member I have. Why do you ask?"
"Do you tell her a lot of things? Like personal things?" I pressed on.
He cocked his head to the side and stared at me intently. "What did she tell you?"
I bit my bottom lip and turned away from his gaze.
"Daphne," he said softly. "Just tell me. I won't get mad."
I slowly faced him, and to my surprise, my eyes were overflowing with tears. His expression became pained, and he quickly started to wipe my tears away.
"Tell me what she said." he repeated.
I hesitated. "D-do you really wanna know?"
"Yes." he said firmly.
"She told me not to hurt you."
His eyebrows furrowed, and he asked, "Why would she say that?"
"I asked the same. Then she said..." I trailed off.
"C'mon, Daphne." he said encouragingly. "Go on."
He looked at me with eyes filled of understanding and hope. He wanted to know what was on my mind. To know what was causing me to cry. He really did love me. He really did care. I could see it in his eyes and the way that he'd stare.
I parted my lips and just blurted it out. "You're in love with me."
I saw his eyes widen and his jaw drop slightly. I can't imagine what he'd say next.
"A-and what did you say?"
"Riley..." I began.
He quickly realized where I was going and stopped me before I could continue.
"It's no lie, Daphne. I am in love with you. I don't know how it happened or even why. But I just know that it did. And I've been told that everything happens for a reason. So there's a reason that I fell in love with you."
I took in a deep breath and tried to sort out all my thoughts. He's done so much for me. I don't want to hurt him more than I already have. But I can't lie to him and say that I love him too.
"Riley," I said cautiously. "I appreciate all that you do for me. I'd be dead if it weren't for you; You saved my life."
I took his hand in mine and said, "I owe you so much, Riley. And I'm willing to do anything in return. But... I can't say that I'm in love with you. I love Josh, and you know that. I'm sorry. Please believe me that I truly am sorry."
He lowered his head and shut his eyes. He stayed like that for a couple of seconds, then he finally lifted his head and found my gaze.
"I understand." he nodded coolly. "I'm not gonna force you to anything you don't want to----"
"It's not that I don't want to." I interrupted quietly. "I just can't. I can't make myself fall in love with you."
"Oh..." he murmured. "But still, my feelings won't change. So when you know that you're ready, I'll be waiting. I'm right here for you, whenever you need me."
I could feel tears streaming down my cheeks as he declared his love for me. I just wish I could feel the same way he does...
I hope I was able to redeem myself for not posting in a month. And please forgive me for not posting in over a month. I'm really really gonna try not to do that anymore, but I can't make any promises.
