"...because Bobby, Laren and I are friends and had been doing this for 5 years, we thought it would be funny to bring back to our friends and family a joke photo. You know, "Haha - they have bazookas in their hands but they're actually fighting for peace."

I don't know about you, but I don't think a "joke photo" is really appropriate in this situation.

Joseph Kony
-leads a Christian group called The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
-The organization has been around for over 20 years and has abducted and/or killed 30,000 people, many children
-Kony himself hasn't been seen or active in Uganda since 2006

Invisible Children
-The filmmakers who created the viral video and the documentary entitled "Invisible Children" in 2003 and the STOP KONY viral video.
-It's been under fire in the past both by the Better Business Bureau, charity watchdog organizations and normal people just looking into Invisible Children itself.
-In 2008, the filmmakers took photo with the SPLA (Sudan People's Liberation Army)
-They have not been cooperative with the Better Business Bureau. Although working with the BBB is voluntary, it's curious why they won't do it.
-Invisible Children received 2 stars in accountability and transparency on Charity Navigatorf--two things that make a non-profit organization trustable.

LRA
-The LRA was pushed out of Uganda in 2006 and has been operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and the Central African Republic where Kony is now believed to be.
-The United States is involved in capturing Kony. In October of 2011, Obama deployed 100 US Army advisors to help the Ugandan military find Kony.

people should know by now if they Govt wanted to stop Kony, they would, just like how they stop other people.. all i smell is a whole lot of money being made and kony is still free? I guess kony is not priority now, maybe when they finished with Iran and syria situations... seriously.. who/what is profiting from all this money being made to buy this and wear that...hope they saving it up to build some schools and feed the people when they decide to catch Kony.. illuminatti promotions? scuse me?

This konny issue is quite questionable. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just another US war strategy. Last thing

reported was that 100 soldiers were deployed to help the cause. I would think that the next move is to have some of those soldiers eliminated which would allow a full on US involvement. The pattern in this whole konny thing is much like what happened with Sadam. First thing is to pull at peoples heart strings then create motives for military involvement.
