Her surviving brother Richard named a lovely performing arts venue for her. It is on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, called the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Occasionally, Richard will do a tribute to Karen with video sync. It's very sweet. She did die of anorexia related complications. Sweet voice. Originally, the drummer, the manager yanked her out of the drum forest and put in front of the mike, and the rest is history.
