I live off of burncoat st and all the neighbors had to clear a tree away so we could leave our street. Ice was flying everywhere!!!!! Horrible for everyone with their homes damaged:(

a month is a bit of an exageration, considdering that 95% of Unitel customers were back in service in 10 days, not 30!

@mike12396 Tons of people had no power for long periods of time. Uniltel, one of the electric companies in the area is facing charges in court for this exact thing because of this storm.

@squall00258 There was a line, like when the tornado came through. 1/2 of Shrewsbury you'd never know there was even a storm the other 1/2 was a disaster. We were cleaning up the debris into May the following year. $8,900.00 damage to my house ... and I was one of the lucky ones. It as a very eerie night with all the trees cracking, sounded like gun shots. I'll never forget it.
