I thought is was fake too at first, but it is real after doing a bit of research.
Search on YouTube "Masters -Vijay Singh-ACE- Another View"
There you will see the camera from another view and see the crowd go crazy!

And also, it's common for players to skip their ball across the water at this particular course and hole:

The person recording runs up closer and at that angle, he or she could see the second golf ball. Watch it again and see! :D
