Here the horses cross the creek on the "track" using a bridge. The bridge was built from2x12x16- 2' on center. The decking is 2x6's run perpendicular to the stringers, then another layer of 2x6s run parallel. This is to insure that the horses cannot punch through the decking. The approaches are dirt with gravel top dressing. This design came from the USFS manual on trail bridges. The bridge will easily hold the golf cart (muck machine) and the small Kubota.
