  • I may be totally wrong but i guess actual shouts must be fairly few and far between? What do you do while your on duty?

  • I'm no firefighter, i work on engines though! lol yes there arnt many major fires, LFB's heathrow station may be called if a car caught fire in the airport though.....

  • Airport firefighters fortunately dont deal with many serious incidents, but can at times be busy. They provide fire cover to the entire airport site, and are often called to AFAs at the terminals, car fires and any aircraft coming in to land with any sort of problem. Heathrow is such a large airport that it has 2 fire stations. The CAA regulations state that the fire appliances must be able to reach any part of the airport within 3 minutes, but preferebly 2 minutes.

  • how does one become part of this team?

  • My Dad was a firefighter at Heathrow Airport for over 30 years and dealt with many fires and medical emergencies - the same as all the professional firefighters at Heathrow did. It's a shame many of you are so ignorant to what they actually did/still do and the area they covered. Next time you take a plane ride - maybe you will spare a thought to these guys because without them being on standby 24/7 - you'd be in trouble. Keep up the excellent work guys.

  • Bet the people on the taxying plane got the wind up

  • Are all trucks equipted with foam?

  • @zrett7t Do a search for Doctors and Nurses you will be surprised at how many there are..... after you do that go back to living like an uneducated idiot that you are.

  • @chizz32 First appliance must arrive on scene within 2 minutes, leaving 1 minute to create survivable conditions within the critical area! Textbook!

  • omg this is soo old remember when i watched this as a kid ! thanks for posting it

  • same here lol
