Just wondered if you have tried mincing ginger with it and how it well it works with that. Trying to decide whether to get a fine japanese grater or this for the purpose. :)

I cannot decide which I like more...the little twisty tool or the fun song at the end. Can you put more than one clove in at a time?

I just think these tools are totally unnecessary. So you have one tools for peeling garlic and another for mincing. You can accomplish all this with a simple knife. Less cleanup and don't need an annoying garlic peeler.

I have minced ginger with this tool and it comes out just fine although it will turn out very differently than with a Japanese ginger grater. The ginger grater will give you something more like a very fine paste that is juicy. The Garlic Twist actually minces it. It can also be used for small pieces of hot pepper such as jalapeno.

You can usually put more than 1 clove in unless they are unusually large.
I love David's song so asked to use it and he let me. That was very exciting.
The tool is very cool.

I completely agree that YOU don't need one. But many people find it convenient and like that they don't have to touch the garlic and get it on their hands. I like the smell of garlic so no problem for me. I also like my knive a lot. Far less clean up with twist than knife and board. So sorry that you find it annoying.

Sorry my last comment came out bit harsh. Actually, to get rid of garlic smell just wash your hands with a steel spoon and it will get rid of the smell.
