Football Legends on Hand as Fans Live out Touchdown Fantasy and Win Big
September 2006 (Medialink) -- A portion of New York City's Union Square Park was transformed into a football field as ESPN kicked off their Ultimate End Zone Celebration Contest. Pre-qualified contestants strut their stuff for onlookers and showed the world just how they'd react in the end zone if they scored one for the team.
Former pro football greats Ickey Woods, creator of the "Ickey Shuffle," Freeman McNeil and Ottis Anderson judged the contestants on originality and entertainment value. Also on hand was Average Joe's Adam Mesh to serve as Quarterback and actress Maria Menounos, the master of ceremonies.
The event included tailgating, music, free food and entertainment and was put together to celebrate the launch of the new ESPN Total Access(TM) Visa(R) card.
