It's called stoner rock because the combination of the guitarists drone like riffing creates a psychedelic twist, and add on the atmospheric drumming patterns, tight bass lines, and soaring vocals.... and thus you got a lot of stoners listening to stoner rock... Oh... Time for a joint. Have a good one folks.
