Bowie 1987: Dont take me for my own, only take me for reference..."
Dieser Mensch ist ein großer Verführer, eine Matrix unserer Sehnsüchte, a devil
charming ,building you from the ground up, a loveless isle...
On stage he gives you moments of truth , fate, love... A karma man...

Finest version ever!

Mike is one of the greatest musician 'cause he's capable to play very soft and simple despite his wonderful technique!!!

@PockyBebop I do Agree that this is amazing, but the 73 performance was just unique and full of a kind of magic that only his life back then could produce....this is of course a wonderful REMIX by the master himself:-)

@ezaube1030 It's been 10 months now, and I am still discovering and discovering David Bowie, can't get enough :-) wow he is so gorgeous, and in the meantime I have found even some more stunning live performances he did of this song during his Outside tour, really marvellous ones.... !

perfeito impecável
I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is just as good as, maybe even better than, the legendary Ziggy Stardust version from '72. I didn't even know this version existed until now. The drumbeat gives the song a sinister air and Bowie's vocals give me chills. Listening to Bowie in this version, there's a sense of maturity in his voice, as if all his life experiences have culminated into one beautiful performance. Thanks for uploading this :).

No over the top theatrics required, no dancing girls to distract & no arena flashing light display necessary. Just a marvellously sophisticated band with a front man as compelling as there has ever been delivering a fascinating performance. I'm sure Jacques Brel would be immensely proud to see his song delivered with such precision & power.
"In a man's life there are two impotant dates : his birth and his death. Everything we do in between is not very important". Jacques Brel 1929 - 1978.
